The studio doesn’t consider Warhammer 3 the end of the trilogy, but “the start of years of content and support.” Earlier the dev revealed it's trying to bring such a mass of content and gameplay to Warhammer 3 that it’ll feel pretty much endless.
The new date “will make for a stronger release and the best first step into a new era for Total War: Warhammer,” says the message from the team. The developer didn’t provide a specific reason for the case, only saying the title was delayed in order to get the extra time needed to accomplish a higher level of quality than the team could if rushed to release this year. The UK-based studio understood that such a decision might be disappointing for the fans and thanked them for their patience and support. Instead, Total War: Warhammer 3 will launch in early 2022, without any further clarity for the release window.
